Hello! I think I should send here that I would translate the WOMP to Hungarian language. I have never done like this, what should I do: compiling or just modifying some files? Thanks for replies |

Hello. Here's my sugestion (I have't tried it out on womp, but it should work) To set your static ip, do the following open a console and type the following: # ifconfig eth0 your_ip_address netmask your_netmask up # route add default gw your_default_gateway # echo nameserver ip_of_your_nameserver > /etc/resolv.conf This should enable your internet access. You only need the first line if you want to access only your lan. To mount windows shares (Samba), you can try the following: #mount -t smbfs -o username=my_username,password=my_password //COMPUTER/share_name /mnt/share The italic fields should be replaced with your settings. I haven't tried any of those in womp, but they work in regular linuxes. Good luck. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Try it free. |

Hi Prince, is your serial mouse on "com1"? By the way womp will only work with a=20 serial mouse if it is on the first serial port (/dev/ttyS0 under linux). If it is on another one, let's say "com2" ( /dev/ttyS1 ) you'll have to=20 do it yourself : 1) Press Ctrl-Alt-F3 to have a text console. 2) run the following commands : cd /dev rm mouse ln -s /dev/ttyS1 /dev/mouse killall womp 3) that's all ... HI , I have a Celeron 336 based machine. When loading Womp, it will ask which mouse to load. The machine has serial mouse and after giving the serial mouse option too, the mouse is not detected. Womp will load and if I select any movie, the sound will be maximum. How can reduce sound ? Is there any keyboard shortcuts ? Again, is there any way to switch focus between the windows ? I tried all keys but couldn't figure out any combination. If one window , say , of audio setup is taken, i couldn't find any way to go back to the original menu using keyboard. Pls Help Regards Prince |

Even if this kind of scan might take a long time. By the way there's nothing like that in Womp, there's only a "scan directory for media file" function in the playlist menu. I have a bit of code that scans a lan and finds all NFS and Samba shares and then scans them for accessible media files. Does WOMP have anything like that in it or would it be useful? I was going to make my own multimedia pocket distro for an embedded device but if I could possibly use WOMP it might be easier. |

Hi all, Womp 0.6beta2 has been released on May 3rd 2004. Changes in this release : + updated cz translation (Thanks to Jan Polzer ) + spanish translation ( Thanks to Jorge Israel Padilla Orozco ) + added a filter to select rar'ed vobsub files. + updated MPlayer for reading rar'ed vobsub files with an arbitrary name (in previous version, the name of the rar file had to be the same as the included files). Note that the rar file had to be rar'ed with a 2.x version, 3.x is not supported. + added xvidix video output, if it's working on your configuration you'll be able to adjust some image parameters with keys 1-2,3-4,5-6,7-8. + Included new logo (Thanks to Paulo Aguas ) + Added a test on memory size during decompaction, MozillaFirebird will only be decompacted if there's more than 192MB. This means that an iso with Firebird will be usable on a machine with 128MB, just firebird will not be available. I've added w3m also in the full iso so on such machine it will still be possible to browse the web. William. |
