Play/Pause:
Pauses the demo. It will also pause video recording, and stop the Scan Frags.
Rewind/FF:
Hold down the button to Rewind and Fast Forward through the demo.
Note that there is no real rewind function in Wolfcam. We are tricking it to rewind by spamming it with a heap of skips back through time to simulate a rewind. Depending on your system resources, this may ‘chug’ as Wolfcam struggles to execute your repetetive requests. It is set at 80ms per input.
Scan Frags:
Known to Wolfcam users as fragforward, this button will CONTINUALLY skip ahead to your frags (minus 2.5 seconds) and play from there. Once you have found the frag you’re looking for, press Pause or the Stop Scan button. Then simply rewind back a few seconds before the frag occurred and start recording. Once there are no more frags in the demo, the demo will still continue to play, and a message will display on the screen to say that there are no more frags.
Record Video:
Starts recording video with the settings that you have chosen in ‘Video Settings‘. Once you have stopped recording, the video will then be saved in to your ‘My Videos’ folder.
Note that If the demo is paused, the video recording will also be paused. Meaning that if you want to start recording from a ‘paused demo’ state, you can press the Record Video button and it will not start recording until you press Play again.
Note also that if you have chosen YouTube quality, a cmd prompt will pop up shortly after you press Stop. This shows the progress of the mp4 conversion using ffmpeg. If you wish to tweak the ffmpeg settings to your liking, you may edit the youtube.ini file and change whatever settings you wish. However, you will need to leave the input filename as input.avi and the output filename as YouTube.mp4
Record Demo:
This will record a demo of your demo. It is very useful for 2 things:
1) If you are creating a frag video, you can ‘snip’ the section of play that you want by seeking out the time of the frag and record just that few seconds. Then discard the original demo.
2) If you are uploading a demo to someone, you don’t want to give them a 4MB 20 minute demo to showcase a 5 second frag. Snip it and then upload it. Just be sure to include around 10 seconds before and after the frag.
Timescale Buttons:
These control the speed at which the demo is played.
Realtime = Timescale 1
SS (Super Slowmo) = Timescale 0.01
And so forth…
Game Clock Timeline:
Use the slider to skip back and forth through the game clock timeline. Drag the slider to ‘Fight’ to skip to the start of the match (if there is one).
Two things to note here:
1) The slider does not move dynamically with the demo, it’s used more like a scrubber rather than a progress bar.
2) If the demo is only 10 minutes long and you attempt to skip to 15m, nothing will happen.
I have looked in to the possibility of dynamically changing the minute values depending on the size of the demo being played, but figured it is best to leave it as is. Reason being is that if you are watching a demo as a spectator, you do not want to be spoilt to know that a game has gone into, say, 5 minutes overtime. Also, I have no fucking idea how to program it.
Options/Demos/Videos Buttons:
Activate or Restore those windows.
Reload Demo:
This will reload the last demo launched by the browser. The value is stored even after you close the program.
