In this particular case one could argue that the official name is n-heptane and not heptane, since there is also iso-heptane for instance. But to be honest, it was nearly 10 years ago that I did real chemistry for the last time. IUPAC does give direction to come to a consistent name, like starting with the longest chain of C-atoms for instance. Have you considered using crowdsourcing for this? For example, using the '.po' file mechanism used in OpenSource project to translate software? Idee om die posts op het oude forum uit te schakelen: cgi-bin/htplpdir/woc/*.tpl aanpassen om daar verwijzingen naar Reageren en Nieuw bericht etc uitschakelen en vervangen door een boodschap dat er een nieuw forum geopend is op sf.net... Mag sowieso wel denk ik.. Grtz |

Hoi, De woc-devel en woc-users mailing lists zijn actief, inclusief archivering. Het is ook mogelijk om als niet-member naar deze mailing lists te mailen, zonder dat dat 'approval' van list-admins (Egon of ik) vereist. Had jij dit trouwens aangepast Egon? Omdat jouw bericht nog approved moest worden en mijne later niet meer? Verder zit ik nog wat te twijfelen over de inzet van de lijsten. Woc-devel is in feite voor intern, woc-users is voor iedereen. Deze zou echter ook voor woc-forum gebruikt kunnen worden, maar waar laten mensen dan een bericht voor een typo achter? woc-users of woc-devel? Toch maar het laatste? Anders nog maar een lijst aanmaken, genaamd woc-forum? Lijkt me eigenlijk een beetje overkill.. Wat mij betreft mogen in ieder geval de mailadressen op de huidige woc-site aangepast worden naar deze nieuwe. Iedereen mee eens? Zo ja, aan jou de eer Egon.. ;) Grtz, Geert |
