Firefox 40.0.3 gets error in Java when opening WOAS file
Woas is a complete wiki in a single HTML file, forked from stickwiki.

Got error: Exception: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: TiddlySaver : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0" and FF slowed down a whole lot. I had to force quit all instances of FF and start over.
More details:
1. Java Plug-in 1.6.0_32
1. Using JRE version 1.6.0_32-b05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
1. User home directory = C:\Users\chuck
A number of questions arise. I just successfully tested FF 41 with TiddlySaver and Java 1.8, though I had to agree to run TiddlySaver at my own risk -- thankfully, the decision is remembered.)
1) Are you saying you had a working setup and now it suddenly doesn't work?
2) What version of Woas are you using? (Check the log or console.)
3) What are your security settings? (It looks like the certificate has expired on TiddlySaver, but it should still run except at the highest security setting.
We'll need to look at resigning it, but I don't know if anyone's really using it now, and I'd need to check on TiddlyWiki's current status as they do the signing, though I am keeping the code running for both projects.[EDIT: I actually have a newer resigned jar I haven't released yet; will include it in a soon-coming (I hope) minor update to fix a few outstanding things.] It can also be whitelisted to allow unencumbered use, though I haven't tried that yet; I included an unsigned version in the release for that use case.)4) Did you read all my notes on running Java?
Let me know.
A better question is: are you aware of the TiddlyFox plugin that works with Firefox and allows loading and saving of both TiddlyWiki and my Woas version? I just tried it on both FF 41 and Android Firefox, and it worked well. (But only for recent (current?) Woas releases as I added code to allow this.)
Don't know how long Firefox will work with TiddlyFox -- Jeremy Rushton, the original author, has been following things and seems to think the coming add-on system will still be workable -- but I hope to write a WoasFox app based on his code at some point, allowing saving of binary files (Image:: and embedded File:: namespaces). Not terribly necessary, but will be useful when using the export website functionality built into Woas.
(I just discovered a way to make Woas work quite well in Android Firefox on a phone. This may well motivate me to finish things off. I'll be writing a blog post about it soon.)
Cheers, Paul.
