Initial Comment:
I would like to request that whitespace be maintained when loading and saving wxs files.

For example, I have a <CustomAction /> element whose value is very long and so I insert line breaks inbetween subvalues to make it more readable.  When I open the wxs file in WixEdit, perform some changes, and then save it, its format is lost.

ex. 
<CustomAction Id="MyCustomAction" Property="MyProperty"
                  Value="&lt;root&gt;
                            &lt;data property1=&quot;[PROPERTY1]&quot;
                            property2=&quot;[PROPERTY2]&quot;
                            property3=&quot;[PROPERTY3]&quot;
