Recently noticed that witchOS on Cinnamon desktop won`t shutdown on pressing power off button and the only way to shutdown system is issue command 'sudo poweroff -f'
in terminal .
Confirmed the problem.
As a workaround i disabled logind for the cinnamon session manager.
The logout dialog is not working though but you can logoff and power down via your display manager.
I will investigate further

Done, though initially system refused to boot , faced black screen of death , frozen mouse, system freeze , but once I could login to Cinnamon desktop , both reboot and shut down functions were back to normal .

Seems the culprit was the glib2 update.
I reverted it and recompiled pulseaudio, gtk3 and cinnamon.
It now works again.
Can you confirm that?
