when i try to connect i get an error message. It
reads "Could not connect: java.ioException

It seems like the gateway doesn't exist...

Yes i have samsung X100 and i have the same problem then i
try to connect i get "error form irc gateway" what i have to
do?

When I attempt to connect to IRC with my Motorola v525, it
gets stuck on the "connecting to irc.server.irc" part, and will
go no further. The software hangs when I press
the "Windows" button, too.

I use WLIrc with my Nokia 7210 and I also reveiced the
error "Could not connect: Could not connect to gateway
(Error from irc gateway)"

I assumed the default irc-gateway wasn't working properly,
so I set up my own irc-gateway. Now WLIrc works just fine.

You must connect to an internet access point, not a wap
access point. (ask your provider for details about how to
access a internet access point)
