'While I am happy to report the OS X Driver working
successfully with my PB G3/400 Lombard and
Lucent Orinoco PCMCIA card, it seems to have
greatly extended the time required for my machine
to boot up. There is first an extra long time to
secure network connections in the initial phase of
OS X boot-up when the blue Apple icon is shown.
Then there is an even longer period between its
disappearance and the eventual log-in screen.
FWIW, I am using 10.1.2 and my machine has 320
mg of RAM.

If this is a required byproduct of being able to use
this driver and hook up to my Airport II Base
Station, so be it. But if there is some minor fix that
eludes me, I'd welcome some direction. Thanks,
Roger

Interesting, my Powerbook G3 250 with 320 MB RAM has the same
problem with my (Lucent) WaveLan Silver in 10.1.4. Are we both doing
    something wrong?

Had the same problem on my PB G3/333 using the
    beta-3 and beta-4 drivers.
Fixed it by disabling "closed wireless network" on the
base station (Orinoco), read somwhere that the driver
doesn't (yet) manage to connect automatically to a
    closed network during boot sequence.
