The problem is not how you are installing the wirelessdriver.  The WPC 
v.4 uses a different chip from the earlier versions, and it is not 
compatible with any Mac driver that I know of.  At one point, LinkSys 
was willing to exchange v.4 cards for v.3 cards (which *are* compatible 
with both the open source driver and the ioxperts driver), but I don't 
know if they are still doing that.
