You do not have a complete installation - On Sep 25, 2004, at 12:04 AM, wir...@li... wrote: PPane.prefPane /bin/ls: /usr/local/bin: No such file or directory You should see this in the output: ### wireless driver files installed drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 15 May 2003 WirelessDriver.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 24 Sep 2003 IOPCCardFamily.kext drwxrwxrwx 3 kori admin 102 15 May 2003 WirelessDriver PPane.prefPane IF you do not have these three lines, then the software is not installed correctly. You can move them manually to the correct places. This is where you must put things: WirelessDriver.kext goes into /System/Library/Extensions WirelessDriver PPane.prefPane goes into /Library/PreferencePanes YOU MAY NOT have a /Library/PreferencePanes/ folder - Create one, then move the wirelessdriver ppan.prefpane into it. BTW /library is in the root directory - i.e., your hard drive name/, next to /System, /Users, etc Run the troubleshooting.info program again. You should have what I show above. Make sure the privileges are the same. Reboot the computer. Go to System Preferences and you will have a Wireless Config panel there. Enter your information and you should be up and running. ======================================================== 1. Lombard do not work with DWL-650 running Panther. Hello to all; Merry Christmas and a very happy new year. Well. I have a D-Link DWL-650 rev. P inserted into my Lombard It's very funy to see the Act light turned on and it's Finder recognition in the menu. But any more happens. No new port detected in the Network Pane, or by the driver. Any suggestions will be welcome SYSTEM INFO: Last login: Thu Dec 30 20:30:01 on console Welcome to Darwin!
