Geoffrey,
   The installer did not work properly because you do not have a 
/Library/PreferencePanes/ folder.
Create an empty folder in root//Library/ and name it PreferencePanes - 
the rerun the installer.  It will add a WirelessDriver PPane.prefPane 
entry in the folder.

   Reboot the computer, go to the System Preferences and you will see a 
new preference pane at the bottom.
