I am trying in vain to get my Proxim Harmony 802.11b LAN card up as wireless unit on my PowerBook G3 400mhz 256mb ram running OS 10.2.8 (build 6r73) below is the output from within terminal, following t-shooting application run apparently, the sw components are not loading, or?? --works OK with Orinoco Gold card, and seems to recognize this card, given it has the info (below)... Is there some way to 'hack' into the useable-card info or to add a particular card (APPARENTLY) not listed in the wireless config or other components?? --not real savvy on this stuff, but willing to give it a go, if somebody can help THANKS SO MUCH, IN ADVANCE, FOR ANY/ALL HELP :) GT ************************************************************* Last login: Wed Dec 1 11:20:41 on console Welcome to Darwin! /Volumes/WirelessDriver\ beta\ 5.1/Utilities/Troubleshooting\ Info.command; exit [GT-WARMEs-Computer:~] gtwarme% /Volumes/WirelessDriver\ beta\ 5.1/Utilities/Troubleshooting\ Info.command; exit ### system info ProductName: Mac OS X ProductVersion: 10.2.8 BuildVersion: 6R73 Darwin GT-WARMEs-Computer.local. 6.8 Darwin Kernel Version 6.8: Wed Sep 10 15:20:55 PDT 2003; root:xnu/xnu-344.49.obj~2/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh powerpc ppc750 ### wireless driver files installed drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 Dec 1 08:58 WirelessDriver.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 Sep 10 2003 IOPCCardFamily.kext ls: /Library/PreferencePanes: No such file or directory 2004-12-01 11:24:00.996 defaults[360] The domain/default pair of (loginwindow, AutoLaunchedApplicationDictionary) does not exist ### wirelesscard info | | "VersionOneInfo" = ("PROXIM","LAN PC CARD HARMONY 80211B","$ | | +-o pccard126,2@0,0 <class IOPCCard16Device> | | "IOName" = "pccard126,2" ### network info lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16384 inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128 inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 gif0: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1280 stf0: flags=0<> mtu 1280 en0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet6 fe80::250:e4ff:fe45:a958%en0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x4 ether 00:50:e4:45:a9:58 media: autoselect (none) status: inactive supported media: none autoselect 10baseT/UTP <half-duplex> 10baseT/UTP <full-duplex> 100baseTX <half-duplex> 100baseTX <full-duplex> ### wd command line tool status /Volumes/WirelessDriver beta 5.1/Utilities/Troubleshooting Info.command: WirelessConfig: command not found logout [Process completed] |
