I do not mean to dissuade anyone from using wireless driver, but I would like to offer up my recent discovery. I have been using WirelessDriver on my PB G3 Pismo for a few years and over OS upgrades 9.2 to 10.3 All in all it works for me, but there have been many pitfalls and I am always a bit squeamish about losing my connection. The problems I have had have all been listed here by numerous folks so I know I am not alone. But it worked and it was free. About three weeks ago I decided to try the only third party wireless driver for Mac (that I know of) from ioxperts. All I can say is that it may be the best $20 I have ever spent in my life. I can open and close the preference pane as much as I want. I never lose my connection. I can select from any available wireless connection through a drop down menu. I installed it once and have never had any issues with the driver since. The demo runs for 30 minutes before disconnecting. http://www.ioxperts.com/80211b_X.html Henry |
