Hello - I need help. Macintosh PowerBook G3 (333MHz), 256MB RAM Mac OS X 10.2.8 I just bought my powerbook g3 (lombard 333MHz) a Belkin Wireless Notebook Network Card. Model #: F5D6020 which came with a wireless router. Problem is, my PowerBook has a kernel panic every time I insert the card. Booting with the Wireless Card inserted with Verbose mode, notes that a kernel panic occured, taking it out and rebooting will get it working again. I have a Keyspan Firewire Card that I use for FW hard drives which works when in the machine, so it can't be my card slot. The card itself is brand new. I plugged it in prior to installing the wirelessdriver - and it panic'ed. I installed the wirelessdriver, rebooted, inserted the wireless card - it panic'ed. I rebooted with the wireless card in place - and it panic's during startup. (verbose mode noted "panic - hanging up here.") I read the FAQ and it notes that my card F5D6020 is supported by the driver, but at the moment, I can't even get the card inserted without causing a kernel panic. I've also looked at the troubleshooting section and I'm using version 1.4.0 of the IOPCCard.kext. Is this hardware related or software conflicts?? This is my first time with Wireless Networks. If anyone can help. Thanks. James. |
