Hello; I'm having problems getting my Powerbook G3 to recognize either of two newly bought proxim Orinoco Silver 802.11b cards in my machine. I tried running the installler for the wireless driver, and it dumped the driver, the preference pane, and the Signal Finder software all at the root level of my hard drive (which I'm now having trouble getting rid of) and I had to run the three individual installers in order to get the preference pane into the system library. The wireless config app, as well as the system preference wireless config both come up all grayed out. The network preferences has no mention of EN1 anywhere I can find. The card has no lights on it whatsoever. Have any ideas? The text of my driver info (from the terminal) is printed below. The text of my troubleshooting script follows: DRIVER INFO TEXT: Index Refs Address Size Wired Name (Version) <Linked Against> 27 1 0x1056b000 0x21000 0x20000 com.apple.iokit.IOPCCardFamily (1.4.0) [Process completed] TROUBLESHOOTING SCRIPT TEXT: Last login: Thu Jan 15 10:55:06 on console /Users/danielmcgilvray/Desktop/Troubleshooting\ Info.command; exit Welcome to Darwin!
