I'm running the wireless driver on my powerbook wallstreet running OS x 10.28. Everything seems fine and I've just returned from MacWorld where I got the idea that I should check out macstumbler or kismac to see what I've been missing. Macstumbler doesn't seem to recognize my card, a farallon skyline, and kismac does but tells me the driver has a flaw that it has to patch if I want to run that application. I don't think I need to mess with things that badly but would like to hear what others are doing with a similar setup. This driver works great with my original basestation/IPNetRouter system at home. I opted not to take it to MacWorld thinking I could get by with my trusty newton as I had last year. No such luck as they seemed to be running 802.11g+b and the driver that has been made for the newton isn't able to handle that. Maybe next year... Thanks, Dale |
