I have been using an older Lucent Orinoco Silver card with my G-4 Powerbook and Os 10.2.6 with no problems. The card was physically damaged and although it still works, I ordered a new card which I thought would be comparable to my old card, a Proxim Orinoco 802.11 a/b Silver Card. I have attempted to get the new card working, but when inserted, the Ethernet Adapter (en2) is not recognized nor visible in Network Preferences , nor is the wireless network visible in the Wireless Config Preference Panel. Is this card compatible? If so, shouldn't it work with the currently installed driver? Or is there something else I should be doing to get it working? I have run the trouble shooting script with both cards installed and they are set forth below. the" wireless card info"on the new card references "Atheros Communications" . I hesitate to unistall the driver and reinstall for fear that I will end up with neither working. Any advice for me out there. Thanks for you help.
