Thanks for your help. I tried that, but unfortunately the "Orinoco Wireless Card" under "Network" configures as 169.254.76.73 (Self-assigned). I think when it configures correctly, I will have a class A network address such as 10.0.1.3 (which is how the Proxim driver configures under OS 9). I don't know if this is part of the problem, but I'm not exactly sure what option to enter the WEP encryption key under. I know that the key is the last four digits of the network name, which is "4d0f4", which I'm assuming is a hex number, but it's not clear to me whether I am supposed to enter it under "Airport Password 40bit", "with hex key", or "convert text to hex key". I know that the Silver card uses 64 bit WEP encryption, so I assume "Airport Password 128bit" is not what I want. Also I have read that sometimes the hex key will not work unless it's prefixed with a "0x" or "$". Thanks again, Andy |
