Hi Andy,

What has worked for me in the past on my TiBook with an Orinoco Gold 
card under Jaguar was to delete the Extensions.mkext and 
Extensions.kextcache files in the /System/Library folder and reboot.

Hopefully that will be of some help for you as well!
