Most likely w/the double install there is are two PreferencePanes, one should be in /Library/PreferencePanes/, Keep that there. The other one should be in /System/Library/PreferencePanes/. Remove that one. It is ideal to keep the system installed Preference Panes in the System folder vs. the Preference Panes you install via third party software in the /Library/PreferencePanes/. To remove the System PreferencePanes it will require you to use the Terminal and "su" or "sudo" to rm -rf WirelessDriver\ PPane.prefPane/. As for the rest, you can see my WirelessDriver hints on: http://musox.com/macosx/wirelessdriver.html - Justin ---------- Original Message ------------- Subject: [Wirelessdriver-support] double the control panels Date: Tue, 26 Aug 2003 11:28:50 -0500 (CDT) From: <ja...@ab...> To: <wir...@li...> I can't seem to get my new Orinoco card to work but I haven't tried everything yet. You might hear from me about that again. What I am having trouble with, and I am not really sure how I caused this, but I somehow doubled my number of control panels. My system prefs looks normal on top, then in the "other" section all the control panels are listed again (including two "WirelessConfig" panels - neither see the gold card). Somehow in the process of uninstall/reinstall/repeat they doubled. Not sure when. My question is, how do I get rid of the extra panels? --ja ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
