Wireless Driver Support members- I am attempting better reception with a new Linksys PC Card on my PowerBook G4 (400mhz) laptop. Currently using the built in airport antennas, the reception is poor in many areas of my home. I had read an article in Macworld regarding using 3rd party PC cards in combination with the WirelessDriver software to gain better reception with higher powered cards using their own external antennason the PowerBook G4. Reading through the FAQ (http://wirelessdriver.sourceforge.net/faq.html) on the Wireless Driver website, the Linksys WPC-11 card is listed as being a SUPPORTED card. My local Best Buy had these cards on sale with a discount for only $39.99 so I picked one up today. After following the simple install instruction, the EN1 (or EN2) network port doesn't NOT show up in Network Settings in OSX 10.2.6 Jaguar. I have tried all the suggestions in the FAQ page (reinstalling, booting with card inserted)... and still cannot get the EN1 to show up to even choose the PC Card as the active network port. I noticed that I purchased version 4 of the WPC-11. According to Linksys' website, they have v3 listed in their product line, so this may be newer technology. The FAQ on the WirelessDriver site does not mention a version when listing the Linksys WPC-11 compatibility. Maybe support has not been added in the driver? Any suggestions would be helpful. I've included the Troubleshooting script from Terminal below.
