The only USB device I know of that can be easily used with an external 
antenna is the Orinoco USB adapter (it contains an Orinoco PCMCIA card 
inside, so all you have to do is drill a hole in the end of the 
enclosure to provide access to the card's antenna jack).  
Unfortunately, I don't know of any Mac drivers for this device--it uses 
a different USB controller than anyone else does.  IOXperts looked into 
doing a driver for it, but so far has been unable to obtain the 
necessary technical information from Agere.

Rob might be able to answer the question about whether there are USB 
drivers for other devices that can support MacStumbler (KisMac loads 
its own driver, so it's pretty hardware-specific).
