[Wirelessdriver-support] NetGear MA401 problems

Hi,

I've been using the Wireless Driver in various versions for almost two years
and it was working perfectly on a Lombard Powerbook G3 under 10.2.3 until last
week when the Orinoco Gold card I was using went a little nuts. The computer
would lock up after 10 minutes of use and the card's power lamp would be stuck
on. The computer always had to be hard restarted. The PC slot is fine, used a
Firewire card in it to check. So I put aside the Orinoco and acquired a NetGear
MA401 card based on the compatibility table in the FAQ.

The Netgear does not seem to be recognized! That is, the alternate ethernet
"en1" is not showing up in the "Newtork" control panel as an option under
"Show" like it always did with the Orinoco. Reinstalled the driver Beta 5-1
twice just to be sure. The Orinoco still dies after a few minutes and the
Netgear is still ignored. The LED does illuminate on the NetGear.

Did I make a bad choice from the FAQ list?
Could or would NetGear have changed the MA401 card?
Is there like a file I need to trash?
