Stacy Rosenstock's instructions worked perfectly, with one deviation. To
delete the files, I had to boot into OS 9 first. Even with permissions
adjusted, I couldn=B9t delete them in OS X. But when I rebooted, I immediatel=
y
saw the LED's on the Orinoco Silver card blink once and I received a messag=
e
that a new ethernet adapter was found. I opened the Network panel, chose it
with DHCP and clicked Apply Now.

I now have wireless in my laptop again and can surf on my campus' wireless
network.
