When the card is attached, network preferences show "en2" (and > I have chosen the correct configuration). However, for some reason, > the wireless configuration pref panel shows no signal. I've experienced almost the same problem. What made it more troubling for me, however, was that for a short time, I was able to connect with the card. It was wonderful! So much better than the poor reception I'd gotten used to. But when things started getting wonky, I reinstalled, ran the troubleshooting script and tried to get things started again. Somehow or another, this resulted in a situation that wasn't good at all. I'll spare you the details: Suffice it to say I had to back up my data by booting into FireWire disc mode, and then reinstall the system. While this may not be directly attributable to the driver, the proximity of the events has made me nervous. So, until there's a more stable version of the driver available (read: not a beta) I'm going to suck it up and deal with the poor reception of the TiBook. For you amazing developers out there: What's the timeline for future editions? Will you be moving beyond the beta stage anytime soon? This greedy, good for nothing freeloader would very much like to enjoy the fruits of your labors. Be well, - Dave |
