[Wirelessdriver-support] Wireless pref pane needs selection after restart

My particulars are a Pismo w/Orinoco Silver on 10.2.3.

The driver works fine unless I restart, then the wireless doesn't function.
The lights on the card are out, but they both flash every 10 seconds.
However if I open the WirelessConfig pane in the System Preferences, it
starts working. I don't have to click on anything else, just open it.

Not a huge problem, just thought I'd post this issue in case there were
others out there with the same issue...
