I'm mainly a Windows PC user so am getting a little lost here. I've got a silver Lucent WaveLAN card and the wireless driver works great however I'm experiencing a small problem : (System : OS10.1.5, G4 Titanium 550mhz) I have to manually enable the wireless card to connect to my wireless network. Using the 'wirelessconfig' in the System Preferences dialog I can connect to the wireless network when I click ' apply now'. After a few seconds I get an IP from my DHCP server via my AP (a D-LINK 950). I realise that The driver does not and will not automatically connect to a closed and/or WEP encrypted network. (as per the FAQ) however , for now, my network isn't WEP encrypted. I've added the WirelessConfig preference pane into my log-in items but only get a "blank" System Preferences when I log-in (that is : nothing shows only the menu at the top of the screen). Am I perhaps adding the wrong application to my log-in startup items ? I'm using : Macintosh HD:Applications:WirelessDriver PPame.prefpane What I'm trying to achieve is a restart and log-in that will activate the wireless connection without having to go to the System Preferences everytime I reboot. Suggestions appreciated. regards Peter Fitzpatrick |
