Be sure you check your WEP settings.

In fact, in order to make sure it works (and it should, as long as the 
MS AP supports 802.11b _standards_), I'd turn off WEP, MAC address 
filtering - ensure it's wide open, then turn things back on, until it 
breaks.

As always, simpler is better.
