[Wirelessdriver-support] Can't install Wireless driver on TiBook G4/400

I just purchased a D-Link DWL-650 for use with my TiBook G4/400.

I'm running OS X 10.1.5, and I installed WirelessDriver 10.0.0Beta4.  After
installing everything, all I get is one pane in "Other" for WirelessConfig,
but I don't get an extra choice in the network pane for "Ethernet Adpater
(en1)." 

The troubleshooting script reports that "WirelessDriver: couldn't find a
WirelessDriver service in registry - is the card loaded?" It does report
that all software loaded.

(Yes, the card is loaded.)

How can I troubleshoot this?  The card was cherry out of the box less than
an hour ago.....  Is there any way to test the PC Card slot?
