Hi, I have a problem configuring my Airport network. I have a Cube with an Airport card that is the software station. The PowerBook G3 has a PCMCIA card using the wireless driver 5.1beta. Both Macs use OS X 10.2.1. The wireless driver is excellent. I used Pacifist to unstuff all the files in a folder and then moved the files to the right location (I read that the installer script is not installing the files in the proper location). While the card works great with my Wlan PCMCIA card I I have noticed that I can't see the Cube in the ichat rendevouz buddy list when I login with the Cube while I am online with the PB. The Cube can see the PB in the rendevouz window though as soon as I open iChat on the PB. The cube is connected to the internet using a DSL modem and the Airport is setup to share the connecction. I can connect to the internet from both computers but I want to transfer files between the computers. The PB won't see the Cube. I looked at the ipaddresses and saw that the PB uses 10.0.2.2 while the Cube uses 169.172.x.x, I thought that both computers should use 10.0.2.x ipaddress. Does anyone have an instructions how to setup this properly. //Rob -- To be is to do. - Socrates To do is to be. - Sartre Do be do be do. - Sinatra |
