setup: Titanium Powerbook SMC wireless barricade router engenius card (as touted in http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,55742,00.html) Jaguar internet access with WEP disabled. when i select encryption, the pull down menu options on network configuration are: Airport Password 40 bit airport Password 128 bit with hex key convert text to hex key I choose "airport password 128 bit" and type in the #s i entered in the smc page. regardless if i enter them as numerals or with a $ before them, when i hit 'apply', the pull down menu jumps to 'with hex key' and translates it into a gobbledy gook of numbers and letters. and though the signal is great, internet does not work anymore. i do have MAC limiting on (had it on for disabled encryption, too.) when i try to reinstall, it says i cannot install the wireless preference pane. any ideas? thanks in advance for any advice!
