Hi, I couldn't find any detailed info about this. I installed the b5 driver for Jaguar on a Pismo Powerbook running OS X 10.2.1. I have the Belkin F5D6020 card (about $50!) and was able to get it to be recognized by the Wireless Config app and preference, with decent signal strength on the meter, but I cannot get it to connect to my network either via DHCP or with manual configuation that is identical to my Airport card, which works fine. I've seen on this forum that some people have been able to get this card to work, but for me no joy. TIA, Jim Here's the result from the trouble shooting session: ### system info ProductName: Mac OS X ProductVersion: 10.2.1 BuildVersion: 6D52 Darwin James-Garberns-Computer.local. 6.1 Darwin Kernel Version 6.1: Fri Sep 6 23:24:34 PDT 2002; root:xnu/xnu-344.2.obj~2/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh powerpc ppc750 ### wireless driver files installed drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 Oct 20 10:58 WirelessDriver.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 Sep 9 2001 IOPCCardFamily.kext ### wirelesscard info | | | "VersionOneInfo" = ("Belkin","11Mbps Wireless Notebook Netw$ | | +-o pccard156,2@0,0 <class IOPCCard16Device> | | | "IOName" = "pccard156,2" | | | "IONameMatch" = ("pccard156,2","pccard1eb,807","pccard274$ | | | "IONameMatched" = "pccard156,2" ### network info lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16384 inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128 inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 gif0: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1280 stf0: flags=0<> mtu 1280 en1: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet6 fe80::230:65ff:fe16:80cf%en1 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x4 ether 00:30:65:16:80:cf media: autoselect (<unknown type>) status: inactive supported media: autoselect en0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet6 fe80::230:65ff:fe53:4714%en0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x5 ether 00:30:65:53:47:14 media: autoselect (none) status: inactive supported media: none autoselect 10baseT/UTP <half-duplex> 10baseT/UTP <half-duplex,hw-loopback> 10baseT/UTP <full-duplex> 10baseT/UTP <full-duplex,hw-loopback> 100baseTX <half-duplex> 100baseTX <half-duplex,hw-loopback> 100baseTX <full-duplex> 100baseTX <full-duplex,hw-loopback> en2: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet6 fe80::230:bdff:fe61:dbd3%en2 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x8 inet 192.168.2.127 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.2.255 ether 00:30:bd:61:db:d3 media: <unknown type> (DS11 <full-duplex>) status: active supported media: none manual autoselect DS1 <half-duplex> DS1 <full-duplex> DS2 <half-duplex> DS2 <full-duplex> DS5 <half-duplex> DS5 <full-duplex> DS11 <half-duplex> DS11 <full-duplex> ### wd command line tool status /Users/jamesgar/Downloads/Troubleshooting Info.command: WirelessConfig: command not found logout [Process completed] |
