Doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm a ham radio guy as well (VE7ICJ), so I remembered that as well. I've been testing PCCards and USB devices sitting within an inch of each other with no problems. Also, the output power is quite low ( < 100mW on most cards) on these cards and that probably helps in this situation. Things seem to be different with spread spectrum stuff.
