[Wirelessdriver-support] Wireless driver not working on my 10.2.1 TiBook 667

I have an Airport card in this machine, but because of the, er, 
"limited" range it provides I was hoping to make use of a Linksys PC 
card to improve reception.
After installing the drivers, I have a new port in my network 
preferences labeled "USA19216P1" but it only displays options for a PPP 
connection. Furthermore, the WirelessConfig pane never becomes "active" 
(all of the options are ghosted.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I have an old home and 
reception from this machine is difficult. (My wife's first generation 
iBook works like a champ, though!)
