My Wallstreet has 384MB, but I had to remove the 256MB card in order to perform the Jaguar installation. The installation was flawless after. After the installation, I was able to put the 256MB back in. It is recognized and works just fine. Thanks for the painless install process Apple. I've run into the same symptom/problem trying to compile xfree86-rootless package, but I haven't tried doing the memory swap. I should note that my PB has a Crescendo 500MHz G3 upgrade card. I seem to remember a firmware? update from Sonnet that allowed for more than the original memory ceiling. I don't know if that is involved or not. Wallstreet G3 w/ 500MHz Crescendo G3 upgrade Mac OSX 5.1.2 384 MB (128 + 256) Orinoco Gold The current wireless beta patch seems to work fine on my setup. I think I even have 128-bit WEP working (judging by changing the WEP code and having it stop working). - Ed |
