All, Just an FYI. I had a Cisco Aeronet 340 with latest firmware installed under OS 9 on my wife's Powerbook G3 (Lombard). It worked fine with the stock drivers from Cisco. However, the Cisco OS X drivers did not work at all. The indicated that showed power to the card would never light under OS X. I tried it under OS X after installed the drivers provided for here and still no luck, the power light did not show and the driver itself would not detect the card. So, even though I had heard on other forums that Belkin cards did not work on Macs at all I took a chance with one I had in my PC(behind the TV for playing Divx movies).. Wouldn't you know it! It worked just as I have now seen that others are having the same experience!! I bought the card for $42.00 on Ebay brand-new from the Maryland Computer Exchange (this is by no means an AD). Just wanted to share my experience with everyone here. OS X has made all my old Apple/Apple-compatible equipment new to me again : ) I was able to get my wife on OS X wirelessly(no more lock ups or crashes.. even used gimp-print-4.2.2-rc3-ppc to enable printing to her Epson Stylus 600!!). Okay that was off topic..but just couldn't help it : ) -Cho |
