I have a Lucent RG-1100 Access Point (the box says it's 128 bit). I have a Lombard running 10.2, and the latest wirelessdriver. I have a Lucent Orinocco Gold (128 bit) wireless card. The setup work fine in an closed, non encrypted setup. But I cannot connect successfully in a closed, WEP enabled environment. The FAQ is somewhat ambiguous as to where the NEP (network equiv password) should be entered; however I've tried all 4 possibilities (40-bit, 128-bit, text to hex, hex) without success. The upside of the RG-1100 was that it appears as a Airport Base Station, configurable from the Airport Admin Utility. perhaps somehow this is limiting it to 40 bit, but I'm not sure why it would. Any thoughts or others who've had success with similar setups? Thanks- Chris |
