I had the Orinoco gold card working by becoming a root user and using terminal to activate the wireless driver. I am on a G3 powerbook and OSx 10.2. It worked perfect until I had to restart and I can no longer get it to work. It is real hairy trying to make it work by starting the extension through terminal as a root user. I wonder ikf I have to uninsatll it first. I have come a long way because of the hard work and dedication of on line members. However, everyone does it slightly different and I become confused on the proper procedure. The documented procedure should tell a user if it requires them to be a root user and it should give detailed steps including how to become a root user. It would sure be nice to have a bullet proof procedure to acquire and install this wireless driver for Orinoco gold and skyline PN 473 cards. I have spent and many hours over 3 days reading and interpreting e-mails one site related to the new wireless driver. I for one would be happy to pay $20-30 for shareware that would acquire, unstuff, install and make the driver work regardless of restart or other application activities. Anyone want tp take a try at it? W. William Gillette Strategic Management Consultant Information Strategy Advisers, Inc. Phone 303-985-0353 Fax 303-969-0949 Mobile 303-916-6280 E-mail wgi...@at... |
