David, Set up a second location in the network prefs. Set this new location for wired ethernet only. When you need to eject your card, change your location to the wired network, go to the menu bar pcmcia icon and click on "Power off card", then it is safe to remove your card. After you re-insert your card, change your location back to wireless network. I've been using this procedure since the beta 4 fix was posted without any DHCP problems at all.
