Hello again, I managed to get it to work now. I couldn't use the Terminal due to that it always gave me the error "modify command unknown", I'm not an UNIX expert and I couldn't find a way to get around this. Then I looged in as root, opened the info.plist in BBEdit, removed line 33 and 34, made the file writeable and saved. After a reboot everything works fine. I've also changed line 34 to integer instead of string in info.plist, but I haven't tried that version yet. I'm not sure if this is a "good way" but now my daughter is happy again, I've had our DSL modem connected directly to my computer since Friday which she didn't like. /Nils >Hello, > >I have a PB 400 bronze keyboard, 10.2 and the Farallon/Proxim 802.11b card >I found this fix in the archive but it didn't work for me, > >> 1) "sudo chmod -R ugo-w >> /System/Library/Extensions/WirelessDriver.kext" >> 2) "sudo chown -R root.wheel >> /System/Library/Extensions/WirelessDriver.kext" >> 3) Modify >> /System/Library/Extensions/WirelessDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist", >> removing the 2 line entry for IOKitDebug on lines 33 and 34 (it's not >> needed >> except during development and was incorrectly typed as a string when it >> should have been an integer) >> 4) run "sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions" > > >I got an error on "ugo", what am I missing here, typo? > >/Nils > > > > >------------------------------------------------------- >This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old >cell phone?
