No problem installing the driver on my Wallstreet PB (w BlueChip G4 500) running OS 10.1.5 and an Orinoco gold card. The Wireless Config pane shows that I'm getting a signal from my snow AirPort BUT I can't actually connect to the Internet. In the Wireless Config Network Configuration panel, I checked "Use WEP encryption" and initially entered the Hex key as explained in the FAQ"--at which point the rest of my network Macs lost their connection to the AirPort. I haven't been able to see the AirPort on those machines since, despite the standard reboot of DSL router, AirPort and Macs (in that order). Back on the Wallstreet PB, I still get a signal inside the Wireless Config Network Configuration panel. I figured I'd messed up the WEP password, so used AirPort Admin Utility to reach the AirPort and reset the password. The AirPort showed up there and restarted as it was supposed to. BUT at that point the AirPort disappeared from the AirPort Admin Utility's Select Base Station panel--and doesn't appear even when I hit Rescan. Signal still shows in Wireless Config Network Configuration panel but clearly I'm missing a step somewhere here. Any clues appreciated. A great tool--if I can just bridge the last meter. Nolan |
