#2 20 second hang time on startup

Hello friends,

The driver seems to be responsible for a 20 second timeout pause
during startup. After the desktop loads, but before the system
time, battery life, volume, resolution & modem indicators load, the
system pauses for about 20 seconds before proceeding. This is
immediately followed by the System Preferences -> Wireless
Driver control panel immediately opening, which is also an
unwelcome result.
