1 - Creating a new file

What's the most important thing in an editor? The files you edit! Let's start!
Step 1 Create a new tab and a new file.
Click on the first icon in the menu bar (it should be a blue file icon). Now a tab with the title "[new]" opened and you can edit your HTML.

Step 2 Changing the language
There are two ways you can change the programming language. Once the red icon in the menu bar or go to Assistants > Language Assistant. Both buttons have the same reaction.

Step 3 Making the live easier: Insert skeletons.
I've implemented some assistants who are making your live easier. For example, you can let WinPen++ insert a HTML or C# skeleton by clicking on the fifth icon in the menu bar, then select the appropriate language. But you have to CLICK into the textbox with the file you would like to insert the skeleton. Otherwise WinPen++ crashes... whoops! Known Issue!

All other menu buttons are described in the Wiki-Page "Menu buttons and Assistants".

2 - Saving the file

Step 1 (The only step) Clicking on the save icon.
To save a file, just click on the third icon in the menu bar, type the name and choose your file format. Then click on OK. Easy, isn't it? The file you have just saved appears in the chronicle, where you can see, which files you have already saved.
