Hi,

I have the 2 files, which are completely identical, although
WinMerge file compare, finds hundreds of different lines.

In the comparison window, it doesn't highlight the differences, since of course, there are none.

Please, the comparison is buggy.

sorry I can't open your zip.
As I can see from filename, i expect you have most diff in EOL-style.
in footer of each view you will see the style of each selected line.

Zips open fine for me (with Winrar). The other file is ANSI (1252) and other is Unicode (UCS2-LE).

You didn't tell which version of WinMerge you use. With latest stable release 2.12.4 I see 37 differences which certainly is not hundreds of lines. But yes, there is a bug in latest stable release.

Latest experimental release 2.13.8 shows files identical so the bug is fixed.

    Thanks for the help.
Yes they are indeed EOL differences.
Regarding the latest stable 2.12.4 & latest experimental 2.13.8,
I really can't follow this, the experimental is older than the stable ?????
