Hello Wei-Cheng,
The text you sent to the winmerge translate list
was encoded as UTF-8 and not as ISO 8859-1/Latin 1/West European Windows
as is used by English and most European languages...
The reason why my emails from this lists and other emails bounced was that
my ISP sent today about 600 emails to me and filled my quota of acceptable emails
that were lost earlier when my ISP changed email system to a new one that
did not work as it should...
As to the text:
> # I do not know what does "040403B6" mean. So I left the old translation
> unchanged. Please add enough information to guide the translator to fill
> in the right number.
> #. StringFileInfo.Block
> #: Merge.rc:1653
> #, c-format
> msgid "040904e4"
> msgstr "040403B6"
Looks like a "translation" code, which is in version resource:
BLOCK "StringFileInfo"
BLOCK "040904e4"
Shouldn't be in PO-files? Tim?

Likewise. If we need them in PO files then we'll need some
comments/references how to get correct numbers..

Might mean OS/2? I don't know why those strings were added and developer
who added them left the project. Something to do with codepage
conversions he wanted to work with..
obviously the lines:
> msgid "040904e4"
> msgstr "040403B6"
refer to English (United States),en-US,line $04e4 (in decimal line 4*256+15*16+4=line 1268)
of Chinese (Taiwan) Codepage 0x03b6 (950 decimal) of the English translation of
