#244 Customisable views for directory compare

GUI (348)
Kimmo Varis

There are already several ways to customise directory
compare UI. User can select and reorder columns and
select categories visible from View-menu. And more
customisation will be available later.

Problem is that sometimes I'd like to have few sets of
settings. And to have fast way to swith between those.
For example one set of settings could show only
different and left-side-only files. Columns visible
would be filename, directory and left-side date.
Ordered by left-side date. This view allows easily to
see altered soucecode files in left-side.

Another view could have also right-side only files and
similar files shown. And both dates and sizes shown.
Sorted by filename.

Different view settings for different compare needs.

If I have to compare several directories, swithing
between those settings currently takes too much time
and effort.

But If I could save view settings as "view" and then
just select view from menu or toolbar...

Note that this is not dublicate of FRE #785415 Project
Files! Project files have compare settings and
filenames also. But views are for dir compare view
settings only.

I kind of like this idea. If we did this, the GUI for
resetting the directory columns (from another RFE) could be
handled by this GUI, eg, View/Default.

I've applied a patch for custom view flags. But I had to use
DIFFITEM to store those flags. That made implementing this a
bit harder. That should be fixed first when implementing this.

I'm lowering priority. While this would be a nice addition,
its not so important for usability than I first thought.
