#128 Project Files

Usability (267)

It would be really nice if WinMerge had some way to
save each set of search criteria as a file (e.g. a project
file). The minimum set of information to save would be
the left and right directories, extension filter, recursive
flag, and sort column for the Directory Comparison
Results window. The project file's extension should be
registered with Windows so it can be double clicked on
to launch WinMerge and run the project file. There
should be an MRU list for the project files.

I agree with this RFE. I have mentioned this in 2.2 plan
(WinMerge/docs/Planning_2_2.txt). Project files are nice and
    very useful addition.

I submitted patch '#1000020 Simple project files (no GUI)'.

It contains only paths to open, filter and subfolder
inclusion settings. More settings can be added later...

Experimental release is not available, with user
interface to project files. There is new 'Save Project'
button in Open-dialog and new 'Open Project' item in File-menu.

I'm closing this item now as fixed.

Further improvements and additions should be new RFE items.
