I use WinMerge for sync'ing my music and photo collections with their respective back-up stores.
This works fine, except twice a year all items are reported as "different".
This is due to the fact that one of the disks is a USB/FAT32 disk and the other is a NAS. The FAT32 disk uses "local time" stamping, and the NAS stamps files based on UTC, presenting local time.
The workaround is to accept making a complete copy twice a year, but this takes a long long time.
My request is to add a feature that allows a fixed time offset between source and destination.
Alternatively, you could extend the existing feature that allows a time difference of up to 3 seconds.
But I think this would be dangerous, as some differences would be ignored unintentionally.
So it would be better to have an exact time difference.
It could be offered as a drop down list of say, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes.
Or it could be a freely editable offset if you want that flexibility. I'd say keep it simple ...
