I have uninstalled WinMerge with its uninstaller because the system slowed down to a crawl.
Rebooted, etc. but it left C:\Program Files (x86)\WinMerge\WinMergeU.exe (plus 3 DLLs)
File version: 220.127.116.11

Task cannot be killed from task manager. Still using a large % of CPU time and has a Firefox as a child task (cannot be killed either). I'm sys admin on my personal Win 8 device.
1.is this a trojan?
2.what starts it up?
3.how can I remove it? (not a service and not in the standard Windows startup files)
4.will it cause any harm if I do remove it? (more that it is already causing)
