I've connected a TSOP1738 on the IrDA connector of my motherboard.
After changing the Windows .inf files, as described by the WinLirc FAQ,
it works with WinLirc 0.6.4 (RX mode) and Girder 3.2. The FAQ said that
I should invert the RX signal, but my motherboard doesn't have that
option. Nevertheless, the Logitech remote that came with their Z-680
speaker system works great. WinLirc was able to learn and analyze it.

more buttons, from my TV's and VCR, don't work. WinLirc detects about 5
buttons out of 20, and isn't able to analyze them. I don't have the
tools, or expertize for that matter, to analyze the remotes myself.
Does someone on this list have a similar set-up?
Can anyone tell me from experience what would be a good port speed and
virtual pulse setting? Or what remotes work for them?
Is it common that hi-fi/stereo remotes work better with WinLirc than
